| New Southlake Studio |
 |
|
Bella Vernici is pleased to announce that our new SouthLake Showroom is almost complete and will be opening to the public next month! It will
feature many new products both from us as well as a number of other manufacturers to fill all your decorative finishing and design needs. Additionally, the Design Center
will feature meeting rooms for Architects, Designers and even outside contractors to bring clients for consultations. The expansive conference and presentation rooms can
be reserved as well for large meetings. A full library of concrete and decorative references as welll as access to the cafe' and breakrooms will be made available to those
utilizing the spaces.
Porfolio Program:
We are currently interviewing any finishers looking to provide their portfolios and photos for that library of finishes in order to contract work
from our Designers, Builders and Architects as they bring clientele into the showroom. Those finishers providing materials will then be contacted as their finishes are
selected and will be given first "right-of-refusal" on projects resulting from those meetings. Essentially, finishers from around the Country will be able to use Bella
Vernici's Southlake location as a "secondary studio" for reference, meetings or even just as a subcontracting source at no out-of-pocket expense.

BrownStone Overlay
|
|
|
|
Our newest product offering is equally at home on the walls as the floor. Brownstone gives you the option of troweling a true Lime-based stucco or stone veneer
directly over the existing substrate both interior or exterior. The sample above shows stones troweled in a single pass at over 1/2" thick. Due to the large aggregate in
the mix, sagging and cracking are not an issue. The mortar in the image is simply the Browstone with no stain applied.
How it works is very much like our other dry mixes. It is a powder that is combined with the Enforcer Additive and mixed to the consistency you
desire and then troweled on. It will take Oxidizer Stains and/or Dyes. It reacts in a really strong fashion due to the exceptionally high lime content. If Oxidized or
Dyed, it does need a densfier (Liquid Hardener). It is more than durable enough for floors. Bella Vernici's Slow-Drying Enforcer can be utilized to retard the drying time
for thicker applications, but does not take as long to set as when mixed with our standard Overlay. When dry, this material is exceptionally hard and extremely
durable.
In the sample above, the stones were randomly drawn on the wall and then simply troweled between the lines. Once they'd dried overnight, an overall stain was
applied to give an underlying harmony, then individual stones were colored. Once they'd sat for the standard three hour reaction time, mortar was applied between and
washed over them.
In the sample below, Brownstone was applied and stained while still curing. Baking soda was also put into the base layer. Once dry, White Oxidizer
was utilized to pit-out the Baking Soda areas. Random additional Brownstone was applied and stains were added. Parchment was repeatedly applied for uniformity of
color.
