Counter Topcoat

Our CounterTopcoat is a clear, solvent, high-solids Acrylic final coat applied over countertops and floors for exceptional sheen and durability. If utilizing the CounterTopcoat, Liquid Hardener should be avoided as it will cause beading, separation and delamination of the Topcoat and is an unnecessary step due to the hardness created by the Topcoat. Annual coats are recommended for maintenance. Future coats do not require stripping the old ones. Simply clean with Denatured alcohol first. It can be sprayed, rolled or brushed on. If rolling, use a lint-free, synthetic mohair roller similar to that shown above. These rollers are sometimes referred to as "Adhesive Rollers" in hardware stores. First coat coverage is approx 250 sf/gallon. Second coat is 400+ sf/gl. Thus, a pail covers approx 1250sf on the first pass or 2000sf on the second pass. More coats equal higher gloss.
