SANDSTONE OVERLAY

How it works is very much like our other dry mixes.
It is a powder that is combined with the
Enforcer Additive and mixed to the consistency you
desire and then troweled on.
It will take Oxidizer Stains and/or Dyes.
It is exterior applicable.
It is more than durable enough for floors.
It can be spread as heavy as 3" w/o cracking.
It can be sanded within 24 hours, but sets rather quickly
and may require a grinder even within that time in certain climates.
Bella Vernici's Slow-Drying Enforcer can be utilized to retard
the drying time, but does not have the same
long-duration as when mixed with Overlay.

In the sample above each stone was laid-up by hand as
an amorphous blob initially and allowed to set as additional
stones were added for about 45 minutes to an hour.
Regular Enforcer Additive was used as the bonder.
Once they'd set for awhile, they were smoothed with plastic.
That smoothing also exposed aggregate and created a sand
base for the mortar process that followed.
When dry, they were colored with both Blue Dye and Black Dye
For mortar, Brownstone was used and tinted with our Brown Dye.
This was applied all over and cleaned just as when grouting tiles..

The Bella Vernici Architectural Concrete System and concrete acid stain is designed to work for Decorative and
Faux Finishing Paint Artists and Contractors to create a cement veneer and chemical or
concrete acid stain system that will create a faux or decorative concrete finish designed to
embellish any art or design in a home. Classes paint the image of the concrete system that
dispells the myth that concrete acid stains have to be difficult to paint, decorate or contract with.
Using Modello design stencils, the Bella Vernici system can offer artists and decorative
painters options never seen in Decorative concrete paint or concrete acid stains previously.
Additionally, our cement overlay veneer offers a paper-thin profile that
reacts with the concrete acid or concrete chemical stains like a six-inch concrete slab.

No other concrete or cement system can allow for such drastic reactions while
maintaining color integrity and artistic applications when dealing with concrete acid stain,
concrete acidic paint or chemical stains-especially when utilizing the Modello design stencils.
Through the gelatinizing process of our concrete
system's gel oride, non-bleed Modello design stencil work is achieved.

Artwork takes on a whole new embodiment when including the fresco medium available in our concrete veneer system.
This cement overlay has an 8hr window for buon fresco application of concrete acid stain,
chemical dye or pure pigment application for a true, crystallization in wet fresco.

Modello design stencils may also be used in conjunction with the cement
fresco medium when doing these architectural finishes.
Concrete Acid Stains can be thickened with the gel oride and rubbed on the Modello design stencils
to create patterns in the fresco or a wall pattern from acid stains that gives the
beauty and durability of the concrete finishes of ancient Rome.

All of these architectural finishes offer the design, art and decorative aspects
associated with concrete and cement finishes and concrete acid stains popular in architectural design today.
